The role of fibroids in causing subfertility is unclear. Submucosal component of fibroids could be associated with reduced conception but evidence remains scarce [Ref], [Ref]. There is insufficient evidence that myomectomy for intramural or subserous fibroids improves pregnancy rates [Ref]. Hence women with fibroids not causing tubal occlusion are considered as having unexplained subfertility.
